GSN Solutions Overview_Automation Tools For Electrical Design
The solutions provide automation tools to produce construction documents for the cable and raceway system for power, petrochemical and process industrial plants. In addition, construction management will be able to plan and track progress with our system. Software modules are designed to support the workflow that is found in the plant design work place. All data (including graphical entities) are saved in an MS access database.

These modules are:
1)LoadMatic is used to manage the load list, develop the auxiliary bus network and automate NEC lookups to develop Switch Gear and MCC schedules. Whereas these features may be well established as part of your company’s Excel spreadsheet load tabulations, LoadMatic provides a method to quickly adjust load assignments. Tying cable routing together with LoadMatic offers the efficiency of cable sizing that includes adjustment for long cable lengths.
2)CableMatic Plus is our cable routing, auditing and reporting program for electrical engineering and design. This program follows NEC rules and has a proven track record for hundreds of plants. The key feature is automated cable routing using the electrical raceway design from TrayMatic (see below). If LoadMatic is used, data will be shared so that duplicate information is not entered.
3)CableMatic Plus Builder is our construction management program. This program uses the database created by CableMatic Plus to print cable pull and termination tickets. The software also includes a capability to import cable and conduit data from spreadsheets or databases prepared by engineers that have not used CableMatic Plus. The builder records the cable installation status and cable quantities pulled. Planning and progress reports are used as an aide in keeping the project on track.CableMatic Plus Builder has been successfully used on numerous projects during the last five years. Usually, the project types that will use this program are design build. However, starting in 2005, it has been used for projects where the engineer and contractor were separate companies.
4)TrayMatic is our plant design software for trays, conduits and concrete duct banks. This software offers electrical designers with an easy to learn and use method to produce a 3D design for routing cables. Automation tools provide tremendous savings in time in designing trays, and routing above ground and underground ground conduits. In addition the automation tool for designing the concrete for underground duct banks has proven to save over ninety percent of that effort. Bills of material and drawing generation automation tools provide even more savings in time. Also, automated tray tagging, conduit tagging and underground conduit cross sectioning, assures consistency between drawings and the cable routes. AutoCAD as the CAD engine that is used and raceway routes are stored in a very legible format in MS access. TrayMatic is interoperable with 3D plant design systems because it can use either AutoCAD or Microstation 3D backgrounds. The 3D model generated by TrayMatic is output in the form that is required by the plant design system and as a result 3D viewers / explorers and clash detection software operate normally.
5)DBView is our spreadsheet program that offers the user an easy way to modify data in the MS access database tables.
6)EMIS-3D is used when a detail design is required to create 3D models or a library of shapes for supporting trays and conduits. TrayMatic will store, count and manage the shapes created by EMIS.
